Whether you’re having a fun Easter brunch or a more sophisticated dinner, whatever your plans for the holiday, we have some ideas to help you set the perfect table for your guests. Show off your artistic side to your friends and family, and get creative with pretty pastels, seasonal accessories, fresh flowers and homemade decorations.

Choose a colour palette for your Easter Tablescape

Traditional Spring colours are usually a great choice for Easter tablescaping. Using a mix of bright, uplifting pastel shades of whites, pinks, greens, and yellows will make your table pop.

A great way to pick your palette is by starting with your favourite flowers – these could include a combination of tulips, peonies, hyacinths, or daffodils. Choose flowers that are in season and, if you can, pop down to your local florist to see what they have available. You will be supporting your local businesses whilst guaranteeing the freshest bunch that will last the longest!

For anyone with green fingers out there, gathering from your own garden could be a great way to add a personal spring touch to the table. Flowers make great decorations to any setting, bringing an element of freshness & natural beauty whilst also making a great alternative to plastic props if you are looking to be a little more sustainable this easter.

Decorating

Other great options for natural decorations are fruit-filled or floral branches that make a lovely centrepiece. This keeps things nice and simple, especially for those who don’t have a lot of time to prepare elaborate decorations.

If you do fancy buying any cute Easter ornaments, colourful pastel painted eggs are always a wonderful choice no matter the vibe of your setting. You can either make a centrepiece out of them by placing them in a vase or bowl or simply scatter them across your table.

Get Creative

You don’t have to spend a lot of money on flowers or decorations to put together a festive Easter table. Easter is a time for family, friends and festivities. Use what you have in your garden and cupboards, get creative with what’s in season, and look for free materials at home.

For example, why not turn your napkins into bunny ears?! Such a simple yet effective way to transform your normal tablescape into an easter tablescape. You will need some cloth napkins and an egg for each place setting (whether you are using real ones or decorative ones), as well as a ribbon or twine for tying.

How to Bunny Napkins:

Step 1: Fold the bottom point of the napkin up to the top point to make a triangle.

Step 2: Starting with the top point, roll the napkin down to the bottom of the napkin.

Step 3: Once the napkin looks like a rope, fold in half bringing each side up to the top making sure the sides are even.

Step 4: Nestle your egg at the bottom of the “U” of the napkin and tie the two sides of the napkin together just above the top of the egg. Again, making sure the ears are even.

& ta-dah! There you have it, an adorable bunny napkin perfect for an Easter tablescape.

All in all, Easter is a wonderful time to spend with loved ones, whether you are hosting any mealtime or taking your kids out for some egg hunting, there are so many ways to beautifully decorate your home & most importantly, have a Happy Easter & make sure to tag us in your easter tablescape pictures over on Instagram @pure_tabletop.
